This online self-assessment program was developed for a multidisciplinary audience of specialists. The objective of this self-learning activity is to provide endocrinologists, internists, cardiologists, and nephrologists with an opportunity to stimulate reflection on their practice. This will be accomplished through clinical case scenarios followed by a series of challenging reflective questions and evidence-based answers, with references for further reading.

ABOUT THIS PROGRAM

The benefits of SGLT2 inhibitors on multiple organ systems beyond glycemic control is being established with data from large cardiovascular and renal outcome trials in patients with or without T2DM. These benefits of SGLT2 inhibitors make it an important addition to the therapeutic armamentarium of not only family physicians and endocrinologists managing T2DM, but also for cardiologists, nephrologists, and internists.

We hope this program will help address educational needs for all specialties involved in the care of patients with inter-related cardiometabolic and renal diseases.
